There are literally thousands of papers and boards to choose from. Two of the most common categories are coated and uncoated stocks.

Coated

With either a gloss,silk or matt finish, coated papers and boards give a rich vibrant depth to colours printed on them. The colour strength is achieved because of the the hard china clay coating on the surface of the sheet.

Uncoated

With a more porous open surface to them, colours appear flatter when printed on uncoated papers and boards making them suitable for many different applications.
